A murder in progress
Disclaimer: A true story
It is the genral ward in Barakar Hospital, a huge room with almost 200 plus patients being attended by nurses; Mom, Dad, sis and I were moving our eyes from one bed to the other
“She is not going to recognize you guys, so search for her” were the words of the ward attendants .
India, Independence and I
I have entirely nothing in mind while writing this post; just the title. Being our Independence Day I do not want to ponder upon whether we are really happy about it or do we deserve it or are we really free? I find them to be meaningless. Debating in a competition on such topics can get me a prize may be, but here I do not have that incentive too. The only thrill what I have is, we have survived six decades of being a ‘self’ rather than depending on others. In few years of my life I appreciate the courage one needs to manage oneself, resolving the dilemma of doing what is right and what others think is right, choice between desire and responsibility and countless other instances which bring us to the verge of questioning ourselves in despair. I am happy about this Independence Day and I am going to rejoice.
Let their be done
It looks like gaining importance is the sole purpose of the political parties. The solution does not matter; what matters to them is the problem. Leaving the parliament is as normal as leaving the TV soaps and serials, which could be seen later when re-telecasted. Opposition is not meant to complement the ruling party but to find faults and claim itself better. Constitution makers must have not thought in the intricacies and the manipulations the concept of opposition party could bring. It is kind of funny to me, whenever a party is not in power it claims to resolve an issue more perfectly comparing itself to the ruling party. Funniest of all is when it claims to have all the solutions to the existing problems forgetting the time when it was on the ruling side, limitations of a solution suddenly superseded the possibility of a solution.
In the name of God
We are known to look for God in every stone; we try to please him by sacrificing lives of life stocks; we put lacks of rupees in offerings while the other side of the people stay homeless to keep our promise and then when we are not satisfied we are ready to toss the infant kids from the height to thank the Almighty for his blessing. End of the day no one is sure if God smiled.
Pak’s sense of humour
I could not help laughing after seeing this…hilarious to the core…
Sach Savita Harry and Democracy

Must have heard the cases of “Sach Ka Samna” and “Savita Bhabi”, don’t you? Savita Bhabi is already shut in India and Sach Ka Samna is under pressure of being shut down. Both of them have been claimed to hamper the society and also the cultural integrity. It is the same society where integrity is demolished in name of religion and moral policing; the same society which increases the TRP of serials and then suddenly criticizes its content after watching it fully. They want it removed, but won’t use their remote to change the channel or mask the site themselves. It is like if a tasty food adds to our cholesterol, instead of restricting ourselves we want it banned!! Cool!!
The Legend Unsatisfied
I almost convinced myself not to write this article till I could justify good enough for it being written. Before I start, I respect Late Dr. Ambedkar, he is a father figure to the entire nation. I must also say if I had to truly honour him, I would use the money for educating the unprivileged children rather than building a statue.
Grade or Degrade
Time to welcome one more bullshit from the leaders of the education system, the grading system. Quoting Mr.Vineet Joshi –“When the students are judged by marks, research shows that in any evaluation system there are minor errors ranging between 5% to 15%. If that be so, then how can we claim that a score of 45 is absolutely error free?” The second reason to introduce grading system is because with the traditional marking system there is unnecessary competition fuelled by parents among children which brings in suicidal tendencies.
Face the “Sach”
At last it made me smile; “Sach Ka Samna” hosted by Star Plus gets a show cause notice by the government. I think the show got its line a bit wrong. It should invite the politician on the screen and bash them with the questions regarding the corrupt practices they script in the name of the Country and the constitution. One question must be fixed –“What is your Swiss account number?” Let the country see how are the so called leaders are. May be they can be exempted from the questions of their personal life.
